Overview

Legend has it that the Batak people trace their origins to an ancestor named Siraja Batak. From him descended the people we now know as the Batak tribe. Although there are varying accounts regarding the history of Siraja Batak, the consensus is that he originally settled in the Sianjur Mula-Mula region. This film is a collaboration between Potret Sumatera, Yutrip Media, and the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenpar/Barekraf) through the 2022 Lensa Creatif Program.
