Overview
In a lonely grove, friends Jude and Billy part ways in a most unusual manner involving red yarn, a passing comet, and a hole in the ground. Some time later, Jude sees an individual identical to Billy in town, but when he approaches him, the person has an entirely different name and identity, with no knowledge of Jude or the story he speaks of, despite looking and sounding exactly like his bygone companion.
