Overview

The film “Mada and Bia” portrays the story of two religious sisters Sister Marie Madeleine Hausser (Mada) and Sister Béatrice Kruch (Bia), French from Alsace, who have lived in Brazil since 1967. Symbols of resistance in dark times since the civil dictatorship- military in Brazil, are immersed in the struggle in a context of social conflict mainly in the countryside, having their lives dedicated to the search for justice and dignity, in tireless work for the less favored and marginalized. With the people and for the people, being Providence for others.
