Overview
Paris, 1889: a young woman suffering from a neurological disorder is admitted to the Salpêtrière Hospital. Her condition is known as "St. Vitus' Dance" and causes spasms and uncontrolled movements. During the famous Bal des Folles, held once a year at the hospital, she discovers dance and finds in this art form a different way to heal herself.
