Overview
Lóczy, une maison pour grandir is a documentary by filmmaker Bernard Martino that explores daily life and the philosophy of life at the Emmi Pikler Institute in Budapest, popularly known as Lóczy, a childcare institution founded in 1947 to take in orphaned or abandoned children. Through direct observation of the interactions between carers and babies, the film documents a unique approach to respecting children's autonomy and emotional development, breaking with traditional care practices in early childhood institutions.
