Overview

Two women directors include their own families in the frame, removing the distinction between private and public spaces shaped by gender roles. The film focuses on the life stories of women from families living in two different cities. Despite the differences between the two cities, homes, and socio-economic conditions, there are similarities and differences between the women’s stories, as well as the roles they take on or resist… The documentary also shows generational differences among the women in both families and focuses on the experiences of marriage, sexuality, and pregnancy.
