Overview
Online gambling is a multi-billion-euro market. The mafia launders millions through it, while addicted players gamble away their lives. In 2021, Germany decided to establish a regulatory authority for gambling. The goal: to curb market abuses while protecting players. But can this truly work, or is the German state simply looking to cash in on massive profits?
