Acclaimed German conductor Kurt Masur leads the Gewandhaus Orchestra and Chorus in this performance of Beethoven's marvelously sprawling Symphony no. 9 in D Minor, op. 125, filmed live in Leipzig's Gewandhaus concert hall in 1991.
