Shot over three decades on location at Kilauea, one of the world’s most active volcanoes and Pele’s home, this film interweaves Hawaiian culture, science and images of Kilauea from the ground, air and sea. This is the story of Pele reclaiming her land, told from the perspective of an indigenous Hawaiian woman at an evacuation centre.
