Overview
Interweaving vintage performance footage and incisive interviews with music experts, journalists and tour manager Dave Robinson, this video critique looks at the too-short career and continuing influence of rock legend Jimi Hendrix. Analysis of such tunes as "Hey, Joe," "Purple Haze," "Wild Thing" and "Voodoo Chile" prove Hendrix's fretboard genius. Excerpts from the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival and the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival are included.
