Jene Nete, el mundo del agua

Overview

This first short film in a trilogy tells the story of Xawan Rawa, an elderly Shipibo Meraya who chooses his grandson Kopi as his successor and prepares him for many years to care for his community. Kopi must face the wrath of the beings of Jene Nete (the world of the magua), who are tired of the pollution, depredation, and noise generated by humans that disrupt the water world. Kopi must maintain the fragile balance between both worlds.
