Overview
In a rural village at General Santos City in 1974, rumors are brewing and spreading about Binang, middle-aged and a single mother. They say she is a wak-wak, a Philippine mythological bird-like monster who transforms and hunts at night. Even Dodong, her only son, becomes suspicious of Binang as she continues her daily routine, completely ignoring the rumors. As eerie events in the village unfold and Binang becomes the center of hostile attention, Dodong finds himself torn between the love he has for Binang and the fear that their neighbors might be right.
