In "An Imagined Perpetual Past”, a bride figure is boxed in a camera obscure that projects the intangible and draws traces around its subject. Holding an impression of memory on fabric, Abeer limits the subject by focusing on the bride’s absence and the space that she fills. In this installation, the artist solidifies the decaying memories and brings absence into presence while examining the Median Bride’s ghostly matter whose dress displays beauty, extravagance, and wealth. The song is sung by the Musician Safiya Al Shetawi.
