Overview
A white-painted wild olive tree has always been the symbol of the family. Today, his father and brother cut it down to make it easier for the grandmother to get out with the car. From a distance, the author writes a letter to his brother, reflecting on family, memory, and what it means to leave behind what has always defined them, while trying to maintain their bond, marked by tension and conflict every time he returns home.
