Overview
In 2019, 80-year-old Mbah Kancil, a former Remong dancer and Ludruk comedian, was set to act in The Portrait of a Nightmare, but as filming day arrived, her reluctance revealed memories of her past, and by 2023, after the pandemic, she had permanently moved to a government-run nursing home due to memory loss and the absence of family.
