Overview

Once a year, on April 7th, Hell's gates open and the Phantom Lantern chooses a judge to punish the wicked. The judge uses the lantern to trap the souls of the wronged, condemning them to eternal torment. The film combines Western thriller elements with Eastern horror traditions in a suspenseful, supernatural story.
