Goddess of Glen Canyon

Overview

Katie Lee was known as the Goddess of Glen Canyon for her intimate relationship with the place that would soon be flooded to become Lake Powell. She frolicked in the waters, sang about the waterfalls, fought hard to keep the dam from being built. After the dam, she never returned to Glen Canyon. If she had to drive through Page, she covered her eyes to keep her heart from breaking. Katie Lee is a testament to the wildness that was Glen Canyon and the people who knew the place in all its nuance and magic.
