Overview
Trijn, a spirited girl from Volendam, while dancing to the music of the village band, is seen by two impresarios who offer her a contract to appear in a theatre. Her fiancé, Krelis, tries to prevent her from leaving, but Trijn takes to her heels. She travels by train, hydroplane, ship and automobile, followed all the time by the dismayed Krelis, until she arrives at the theatre where she is to perform. There, live on stage and together with her fiancé, she convinces the incredulous Krelis that she really is a "star". The film was shot in the period 1923-1925.
