Overview

This release argues that vampires are more popular than ever, as evidenced by their omnipresence in mass culture and media. The program then travels back through history to examine how the concept of the vampire evolved in the modern consciousness, from centuries ago through the dawn of the gothic novel, to our contemporary era. It also profiles many of the writers who have kept vampires alive over the centuries.
