Overview

Folklore is the study of the traditions, customs, and beliefs of a population, which are maintained and transmitted through inheritance. We say that folklore is inherent to and belongs to the group that creates it. Generally speaking, it is a form of language, a way of saying, "This is who I am, this is what I believe, and this is what I think." The documentary attempts to summarize our understanding of folklore. Folklore, being a symbolic language, allows us to "read" what people want, seek, and dream of; sometimes these are goals that cannot be achieved due to the level of oppression in which we live. Therefore, by expressing themselves in this way, they are sublimating these frustrated desires, transforming them into a "utopia," something we will never attain.
