Overview
In factum/mirage, the artist makes video performances for Chatroulette, a website that pairs random users for webcam-based conversations and that frequently attracts people seeking cybersex. Instead of participating in a real-time video chat, Chan plays a looped video through the Chatroulette interface and records her unwitting subjects' reactions.
