Overview
El Coloso tells the story of a venue founded by Alejandro Lovaton, a migrant from Yanahuanca, who went from selling churros in Lima to establishing an iconic space for cumbia, chicha, and folk music. Its transformation over the years, from nightclub to garage and evangelical church, reflects personal memories and the social and cultural changes of recent Peruvian history.
