Overview

A 17th-century lady at her writing table. Her maid cleans. The food in the kitchen is ready for cooking. But all the time there is a tension. Why is one door locked? This experimental film shot in pixilation tries to upset the placid and perfect setting which Dutch painting sought to achieve. It reveals the dark secret behind the Dutch Golden Era.
