Overview

The director is invited to enter the studio of a major painter on the French art scene, Marc Desgrandchamps. Attentive to his reflections, his questions, she observes him playing on the notions of opacity, transparency and superimposition. Shot between 2009 and 2022, the film also delves into older layers of the work, through the archiving meticulously organized by the artist.
