Overview
The film is a fictional account of the real events behind the 'blasted rock' in the village of Chilia Vryssi on the island of Naxos, Greece. A local peasant (albeit alcoholic) once saw a dream where he was told that there lay a magical marble violin inside a specific rock by a pathway somewhere in the village. Next day he tried to retrieve it by blowing up the rock with dynamite... Remake of a provincial local story of the island of Naxos, using the visual language of German Expressionism infused with the myth of Faust.
