Overview
In the 1950s, La Reunion families were sent to cultivate land in the Sakay region in Madagascar. After having farmed for 23 years, they were expelled in 1975 following the Malagasy revolution. The French authorities propose to them to reiterate the experience in Guyana. Some are embarking on this new life of pioneers, despite the climate and size of forests. In the heart of these landscapes in the four corners of the France of Overseas, they tell us their journey and their attachment to the land, whether Malagasy, French or Guyanese.
