A terrible reality: in Senegal, life expectancy for men is 62 years and for women 66 years. 25% of the population will not reach the age of 40. Medical treatment is expensive, even though the average per capita income is 65 euros per month. Forty-eight percent of the population is unemployed. Due to a lack of funds, Senegalese people rarely go to the doctor or get checked out, and when they do, it is often too late. People disappear quickly without anyone knowing what they were suffering from.
