Overview
Two family genealogies intertwine through a common thread: meat, not only as food but also as a powerful symbol. The animal body becomes sustenance, ritual, and medicine, memory and territory. The memory of a family from Carhuaz (Áncash, Peru) and its archive of ailments are found in the chronicles of meat, reminding us that we always live off other bodies and that every sacrifice also involves an act of care.
