Overview
Each year, for the past 12 years, the people in Edinburgh's Abbeyhill Colonies have opened their doors to the public to showcase their art. Showing art is opening oneself up to the world, and in this small community that is made almost literal. These are some of the people, stories, and artworks behind it all. What was initially a colony built by workers looking for affordable housing, has changed with the city around it. Now it is a diverse and colourful colony of artists.
