Overview
The fictitious drama "Citizens of Nowhere" is based on actual occurrences. The story centres on Dana, a 60-year-old working-class Caribbean woman who was unlawfully held by the UK government following the "Hostile Environment Policy 2012" on the grounds that she was an unauthorised immigrant. The impact of living in a correctional facility on Dana's mental health and her relationship with her daughter, Kalisa are discussed in the movie.
