Overview
Eleuterio Ccallo (64) has dedicated nearly five decades to the renovation of the Q’eswachaka bridge in Cusco. Thanks to his extensive experience, he has become one of the most renowned artisanal engineers in the community of Huinchiri. However, due to the risks involved in this work, coupled with his advanced age, he is nearing retirement. This is where the figure of Jorge Ccallo, his son, becomes relevant, as he is destined to be the next 'chakaruwaq' (bridge builder).
