Overview

BUNGA follows a young woman from rural Indonesia chasing her dream of becoming an actress in Jakarta. Desperate to succeed, she follows a ritual taught by her neighbor, using menstrual blood to enhance her beauty. But the ritual goes wrong. Instead of being seen for her talent, Bunga is reduced to her sexuality, exposing the exploitation embedded in the industry and forcing her to face the brutal cost of achieving success the wrong way.
