Overview
On July 17, 1918 Nicholas II, the last Tsar of Russia, and his family were murdered and their remains hidden by Bolshevik revolutionaries. "Bones of Contention" takes us from the streets of Moscow to the imperial family's execution and secret burial site in Ekaterinburg, exploring the great Byzantine cathedrals and ceremonies that illustrate the passions and contradictions of Russian society.
