Overview
On a quiet Saturday night, a single mother sends her two young sons to bed while she gets ready for a dance—one brother discovers their older sibling quietly applying their mom’s blue eye shadow in the bathroom. At first, it’s a sweet, curious moment of sibling intimacy. But as the story unfolds—through a confessional, fourth‑wall–breaking monologue by Lamont Young—the memory gains depth. We soon understand this moment is tied to deeper truths: the brother’s burgeoning sexuality and, tragically, his eventual death from HIV/AIDS.
