“In 2009, La Maison Rouge presented a new type of exhibition, entitled Uprisings, dedicated to Jean-Jacques Lebel, whose curation was provided by Jean de Loisy: a gigantic and multifaceted installation addressing the main axes of plastic and poetic activities and policies of this extraordinary artist, polyglot and practitioner of the rhizome. Directed by filmmaker Danielle Schirman, specialist in portrait artists, the film bears witness to a rare enterprise through its interdisciplinarity and its libertarian requirements. "
