Overview
A TV play in two acts based on the play "The Lion in Winter" by James Goldman. King Henry II, in his declining years, must announce the name of the heir to the throne. For the sake of this event, his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine leaves her prison for a while. On Christmas Day 1183, three royal sons gather. The atmosphere of conspiracies, intrigues, insidious alliances between family members explodes with open hostility...
