Overview
Sam, a folk musician consumed by alcohol and the weight of a failed career, decides to leave Los Angeles for Louisiana and visit his father one last time. With this character directly inspired by folk and country music written in praise of the underdogs, Jörg Steineck illustrates the great disillusionment that the American dream has become. The result of nearly four years of work, this hybrid between documentary and fiction resonates ominously with the situation of a country whose image continues to deteriorate, and presents itself as a poignant portrayal of despair.
