Aleatoric Noisea

Overview

A still image from a live performance of Vietnamese pop singer Đông Nhi is rephotographed through the screen of a CRT monitor. The recycled frame is then further processed through various digital manipulation techniques to lay bare deformities concealed within pop cultural production. Meanwhile, the hit song from which the image comes is noisified as a form of de-spectacularization.
