Overview
It seemed like a done deal when Adnan Syed was convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee in 1999 and thrown into jail for the rest of his life. Maintaining his innocence, Syed languished in prison until journalist Sarah Koenig raised questions that brought his case back to life. Her podcast "SERIAL" smashed download records and Syed's case became a national obsession.
