This new, 75-minute video on DVD presents Jim Ladwig's great railroad stories, narrated by the author and illustrated by select vintage footage. Ride along as the vibrant history of Wisconsin's steam railroading era on the Chicago and Northwestern System lives again through Ladwig's laser-clear recollections and affectionate reflections. In his 35 year career on the C&NW Jim worked many jobs, including his last 20 years as a conductor on the Ashland Division. His evocative tales of life on the tracks authentically capture the sights, sounds and even smells of those thrilling days when steam ruled the rails!
