In A Different Type of Church, Ryan Cardoso crafts a paean to our modern place of worship out of found footage from social media, performances and interviews. “Featuring the black internet” the long form visual mixtape creates a narrative out of the seemingly endless loop of people watching media, filming themselves mimicking and reacting to it, then sharing with others who watch and react, ad infinitum.
