A Casa é a Viagem

Overview

During the pandemic the famous haiku poet, Matsuo Bashô, returns to his homeland. However a new generation inhabits his home. In this experimental short film, made entirely with internet archival images and online surveillance cameras, we retrace Bashô's spectral wandering, listening to the echoes that his poetry produces in the present. Film inspired in Basho's travel diaries entitled "Oku No Hosomichi".
