Overview
“20th Century” is an experimental film that draws its content from archival footage. Footage used in the creation of the film has been drawn from mid-20th century films across a variety of genres and contexts. Compositing has been used to combine footage from separate works into a singular composition in which clips appear to react with one another. Although the film does not intend to create a literal narrative, sequencing of the footage is intended to imply a progression that is ultimately irresolute.
